Hello Adventures

You are stepping into a space built on story, strategy, and shared experience. Adventure Foundry is a place where imagination meets purpose and where games are used intentionally to develop real-world skills.

This is not just about playing tabletop role-playing games. It is about learning how to lead, how to work with others, how to solve problems when there is no obvious answer, and how to communicate clearly under pressure. Every session is designed to challenge players to think, adapt, and support one another while building confidence and connection.

What We Will Be Doing

Participants will engage in structured tabletop role-playing experiences designed to develop leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and social skills. Players will collaborate to navigate challenges, make meaningful decisions, and reflect on outcomes together. Emphasis is placed on respect, creativity, accountability, and having fun while growing.

Whether you are new to TTRPGs or have years of experience, Adventure Foundry is built to meet you where you are and help you grow through story-driven play, guided facilitation, and intentional community.

We will use the Daggerheart tabletop role-playing game ruleset as the foundation for all gameplay.

Daggerheart is designed to be collaborative, narrative-driven, and accessible. It emphasizes shared storytelling, meaningful choices, and teamwork rather than rigid mechanics or rule mastery. That makes it ideal for a camp setting where the focus is on leadership, communication, and group problem-solving instead of memorizing complex systems.

The ruleset supports creativity while still providing structure. Players are encouraged to think through decisions, take responsibility for outcomes, and work together to move the story forward. For Game Masters, Daggerheart reinforces facilitation, adaptability, and people-focused leadership rather than control or micromanagement.

Using Daggerheart allows participants of varying experience levels to engage quickly, lowers the barrier to entry for new players, and keeps the focus where it belongs: on collaboration, growth, and connection through shared story.

How It Works

Adventure Foundry runs as a two-week, structured camp experience designed to build skills step by step. Each week has a clear purpose, and together they form a complete learning cycle.

Week One: Game Master Training (GM Only)
Week one is only for Game Masters. This week is dedicated entirely to training, preparation, and leadership development. Participants will learn how to run a table, guide a story, manage group dynamics, and adapt to player choices in real time.

By the end of the week, each GM will have a fully prepared setting and story ready to run for week two. This includes story structure, encounters, pacing, and contingency planning. Time is intentionally built in for collaboration, practice, reflection, and feedback.

  • Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (daily)

Week Two: Player Campaign Week (Players and GMs)
Week two is the full gameplay experience and includes both Players and Game Masters. Trained GMs will run their prepared campaigns with small groups of players using the Daggerheart ruleset.

This week emphasizes collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and shared responsibility. Players engage in guided tabletop sessions while GMs apply the leadership and facilitation skills developed in week one. GMs continue to receive support and coaching as they lead.

  • Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (daily)

Together, the two weeks create a complete experience that develops confidence, leadership, and connection through intentional, story-driven play.

By the end of the two weeks, participants will have experienced both sides of the table: leading and participating, creating a well-rounded experience that builds confidence, connection, and practical life skills through intentional play.

I’m Steven

I have a strong interest in tabletop role-playing games and student development. This program uses structured TTRPG play to build leadership, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

With a background in education and discipleship through Doxazo and Hope Church, Adventure Foundry is intentionally designed to focus on growth, connection, and character. Games are the tool. People are the focus.
